Speak

Geoff works for Outreach And Church Ministries (OAC). He presents spiritual issues clearly, and without the cringe factor. Outreach Sessions are not only enjoyable & inspiring, but by openly exposing his practical Judeo-Christian basis, the sessions are ethical & educational too. This is excellent for Schools Religious Education, but also for any outreach forum. With Churches, he describes the Christian faith in ways that assist their outreach, and can also help develop their ongoing connections with their local communities.

Act
Cheers is a Christian-based “community development network” which Geoff voluntarily leads, in the Perth suburb of Banksia Grove. The main mode of operation is through friendships, more than programs. Cheers works together to make “Banksia Grove (and beyond) a better world.”
Live

Home is perhaps the most honest testing ground. Geoff & Sally have four children, born between 2000 & 2004. He imagines them sitting in on all his presentations. They live in suburbia but have a good bit of native bush on their block, and “a menagerie of chickens, parrots, and guinea pigs to attract the dugites, and the dogs to keep them at bay.
We also have lots of people in our lives and feel very rich indeed.”

Think
SUNO (Scripture Union Neighborhood Outreach) is a think-tank, a trainer, and even an auspice of practitioners working on similar, community & culture-sensitive outreaches around WA. They gather to reflect, and spark better ways to do the core practices of the Christian life. The core DNA of outreach remains the same, but the expressions can be very different.
Just like Geoff’s work: it’s about adapting to the situation at hand…
