Scripture Union Neighborhood Outreach (SUNO) has a suite of services designed to practically support and equip local people for local missions in their own local communities. Contact Kent Morgan: suno@wa.su.org.au

SUNO offers training and auspicing for neighborhood outreach initiatives.
Geoff plays a big part in the training aspect. We teach the same principles that culturally sensitive missionaries use. But we apply it here in the Western world. This requires participants to re-examine their assumptions, and look at everything in ways that are often radically new to them.
Warning: you may not be able to go back to the way you were.
SUNO training exposes you to:
- cross-cultural missionary paradigms
- your own cultural assumptions
- core practices in Christ-centered mission
- questions you’ll need to answer
- workshops to make your own decisions, in your mission context
- the distilled experience of practitioners (like Geoff)
- the ministries of apostles, prophets and evangelists (like Geoff)
Training lanes:
Individuals discovering effective missionary practices wherever they are
Groups exploring new areas for wholistic mission
Churches re-imagining how to transform their neighborhoods and beyond
SUNO WA’s input-action-reflection cycle:
Input from practitioners (such as Geoff) may include books, dvds, seminars, discussions, demonstrations, and we hope relationships.
Action is what you do, in your context, over time (like “Cheers.”)
Reflection involves coaching, consultancy, networks with other like-minded peers (like us).

Until the end of 2009, SUNO auspiced ForgeWA, a Research & Development project for culturally sensitive activists. ForgeWA wound up at the end of 2009, but SUNO mission training will continue to include the “Bootcamp” input that defined Forge.

Hey Geoff
would love to catch up for a yarn.
In 2010, SUNO will directly take on the work offered by Forge WA.
