Cheers-log 2004-01

20/Jan 2004

The features of the last few months of the Banksia Grove Project.

We started thinking about our encouragement activities in terms of an Action, Reflection, Celebration cycle.

ACTION: The Cheers meeting, where we Cheer for the good, prayer for the bad, and act where we can. It’s going great.

Some food parcels. And a family was asked, and was only too delighted, to keep an eye out for their street. And if any needs arose, let us know. They are some of the 30 or so ‘silent participants’ of Cheers in the neighborhood.

Also, we sponsored 2 teens to go on SU summer camps (Thanks Mt Hawthorn Community Church!). They loooved it, and we’re following up on the effects as we speak, with their families.
